This is the Stellar Series of dogwood resulting from crosses between Cornus florida and Cornus kousa. They exhibit more resistance to dogwood borers and anthracnose than Cornus florida. The blooming period lasts about 14-15 days and blooms after Cornus florida but before Cornus kousa.

Another outstanding new dogwood from Dr. Elwin Orton.  The first reported advanced generation interspecific hybrid of (c. kousa x nuttallii) x c. Kousa.  "KN 30-8' The plants are extremely vigorous, form a rounded head with glossy dark green leaves and huge flower heads with a spread of white bracts larger than any known cultivar of c. kousa. They are fully winter-hardy in USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 6A (5 to 10 degrees F.)
